Autograph letter signed from David Garrick, Cheltenham, to the Revd. Dr. Hoadly, at Old Alresford, Hampshire [manuscript], 1746 August 19.

Thanks him for his reception of him at Alresford. With some alterations he could figure in George Barnwell [or The London merchant, by George Lillo]. He is studying Veranes in Theodosius [by Nathaniel Lee] and looking into Philaster [by Beaumont and Fletcher].
